After many years of suffering with a lower back injury, and numerous spells with gym based personal trainers, I was introduced to Marc in September 2007. Our first session comprised of an extremely comprehensive review of my training history and assesment of my current state of fitness and injuries. After nearly two years of living with sciatic nerve pain that was not only costing me a fortune in physio sessions but was also stopping me from exercising, I found Marc purely by chance.
I had decided I wanted a trainer who could help me find some sort of exercise that would not aggravate my back and I was also pretty adamant I wanted to be outside and not stuck inside a gym.
I have been training with Marc now since February 2008 and without sounding like some sort of Marc groupie (which I actually am) I can honestly say he is worth every penny. Within a very short period of time Marc managed to correct the alignment issues that were causing my back pain...this has meant that for the first time in years I can do whatever exercise without worrying about back pain.
This of course doesn't help with the guilt issues I now face when I don't do any exercise, but at least I can be smug in the knowledge that I am properly aligned!!
In short, I cannot recommend Marc highly enough. He is a professional, fun, knowledgeable and effective personal trainer. Be warned though, his random sharing of 'human body facts' at indiscriminate points of the session may have you laughing a little more than expected!!
